The imposing Villa Issi is a (holiday) dream come true for lovers of modern, minimalist aesthetics. Located at one of the best addresses in Seminyak, on the southwest coast of Bali, this architectural masterpiece is a wonderful example of east meets west, where contemporary design fits perfectly in an idyllic and tropical Balinese environment.
The striking design of the modern villa is a unique light-filtering metal ‘skin’ that wraps around the upper floor and provides cooling shade against the sun and an ever-changing ambiance of spotted shadows.
The elegant lounge, dining and kitchen areas of the villa have floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to the 25-meter-long wooden swimming pool and the immaculate garden, which is bursting with a palette of green, white and yellow.
A well-equipped gym offers the opportunity to stay in shape and, for those less inclined to exercise, a unique elevated ‘bridge deck’ above the pool is the place to sunbathe and relax or to drink a cocktail at sunset.
A team of friendly and efficient Balinese staff take care of all guests’ needs while the private chef blinds with his culinary creations in the sleek stainless steel kitchen of the villa or at the ultra-modern barbecue in the outside dining area. And all this just a few minutes’ walk from designer boutiques, trendy bars, excellent restaurants and the long sandy beach.
The large and modern furnished living room has wide, black leather chairs and couches for a 55-inch television. The spacious and fully equipped designer kitchen has a large dining table for 12 people. There is also a massage room and fitness room with 32-inch TV on the ground floor.
The clear white-walled interior is characterized by uncluttered simplicity and opens the various living areas to the outside through glass sliding walls or stays closed off with too much heat for coolness and comfort with air conditioning.
In the garden of the huge 1500 m2 brush is a covered BBQ area with a solid wooden picnic table next to the swimming pool. The porch enclosed by design grilles wraps around two sides of the top floor and bridges the pool to the sunset deck. The 25×4 elongated infinity pool is next to large hardwood terraces and comfortable loungers. The lawn in the tropical garden is a great place to relax in the shade of frangipani trees.
The two bedrooms of the main building have views over the treetops, while two more rooms are privately located in a guest pavilion in the garden.
Upstairs bedrooms: the first spacious and air-conditioned room has hardwood floors, a remote-controlled, hidden flat screen TV that automatically pops out of the closet, conceptual art, king-size bed, comfortable armchairs and ceiling-high full-length mirror. The semi-open bathroom has double sinks, a toilet, two showers and a bathtub.
The second room is a study, which also serves as a bedroom with hardwood floors, a remote-controlled, hidden flat screen TV that automatically emerges from the wardrobe, conceptual art, king-size bed, a desk and ceiling-high full-length mirror. The semi-open bathroom has double sinks, a toilet, two showers and a bathtub.
Ground floor bedrooms: these are located in a self-contained single-storey guest house in the garden with king-size beds, 32-inch flat-screen TV, air conditioning and both a private semi-open garden bathroom with double sinks, toilet, shower and bathtub.
