Villa Bodhi is located in the quiet village of Bukian, in Payangan, just 7 kilometers from Ubud with its famous cultural high-lights, trendy shops and fantastic restaurants. The Elephant Safari Park is only 2 kilometers away from the villa and the special Bali Bird Park is a 30-minute drive away. If you are looking for something more adventurous with the (large and / or smaller) travelers, white water rafting on the Ayung River is available just 10 minutes from the villa.
LAYOUT
Take a relaxing dip in the 10-meter infinity pool with an unforgettable view of the jungle and the valley and relax on one of the loungers on the spacious pool deck. Serene lotus ponds, vibrant tropical flowers and manicured lawns surround the swimming pool and the various authentic pavilions. Stone paths make their way through grassy plains that lead to each of the four separate bedroom houses.
In the heart of Villa Bodhi is a massive wooden joglo with open sides that serves as a living space and dining area. The decor is an impeccable mix of beautiful antique wooden tables and chairs, sofas with soft, multi-colored cushions to relax on and admire the view of the gardens and the jungle. A covered wooden bridge leads from the living pavilion to the dining pavilion furnished with a teak table that seats up to ten people. The fully fitted kitchen is perfect for self-catering through decorative sliding doors, with a five-burner stove, oven and large fridge.
The friendly staff welcomes you with a genuine Balinese smile and is always on hand to ensure that you have everything you need for a pleasant and carefree stay.
Each of the four unique bedrooms at Villa Bodhi is like a private suite and exudes an exotic rustic charm, adorned with specially selected antiques from all over Asia.
Jaya House is a two-storey building next to the entrance of Villa Bodhi. The ground floor offers a spacious living room with a TV, comfortable sofas and chairs and a lounge sofa that can be converted into a large single bed upon request. It also has a guest bathroom with a beautiful marble bath and a natural stone sink. The Master Bedroom on the first floor has a hand-carved king-size four-poster bed, a desk, and a private bathroom with free-standing bathtub and rain shower. From the balcony you get a beautiful view of the exotic gardens and the jungle.
Sri House has the style of a traditional Indonesian smooth house and is wheelchair accessible. The room has two handmade double beds with fresh bedding, a dressing area and a semi-open-air en-suite bathroom with a small garden and a generous rain shower.
Menala House is a cute teak cottage from the nineteenth century that has been completely restored. It is located on the edge of the estate with its own small fishing pond and a covered porch overlooking the jungle. The bedroom has two single beds that can be converted into a double bed. The private bathroom with a private garden has a bathtub and a walk-in rain shower.
Laba House is right next to the swimming pool and has a large wooden terrace with spectacular views of the surrounding jungle. The bedroom has a king-size four-poster bed and the en-suite bathroom has a freestanding bathtub, romantically located under an open skylight that is partially covered by tree branches.
